Within the scope of the Environmental Permits and Licensing Regulations published in the Official Gazette dated September 10, 2014 and numbered 29155, all the enterprises, T.C. The Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning and its affiliated institutions are supervising. In the related regulation, it is necessary to determine the obligations of the companies, to take the permits/licenses to be taken, to determine the exemptions and to make the notifications to the ministry and/or its sub-institutions, it is foreseen that the environmental officer is in possession of the enterprise or that an environmental consulting company is to take this service. The entities listed in Annex-1 of the same regulation (having a high pollutant effect on the environment) are obliged to establish an environmental management unit or to obtain environmental management services from environmental consulting firms. Entities listed in Appendix-2 (environmental pollutants) are obliged to employ at least one environmental officer or to obtain environmental management services from environmental consulting firms. Enterprises that do not comply with these obligations stipulated in the Regulation, T.C. Administrative fines are imposed between the Ministry of Environment and Urbanism.
